Psalm 48:9

"O God, we meditate on your unfailing love as we worship in your Temple."
Psalm 48:9 New Living Translation

Even though singing songs and making music, melodies unto the Lord is the most visible, most expressive way of worship, still worship has so much more in itself. As this verse from Psalm 48 says worship in itself involves very practical activity called meditation. As we worship God in His Temple we are encouraged to think, to meditate, to remind ourselves, to dwell on His unfailing love, His character, His personality, His faithfulness, to meditate on who He is.

It is out of that place of meditation that we worship God. It is out of that place of active thinking that our heart is being moved to respond in worship to who He is through songs and melodies. It is out of that place of meditation that our soul is being stirred up to give our all and pour out ourselves before Him.

So how we do that practically?

In order to really get involved with worship with all of our heart, mind and soul we are to first fill our heart, mind and soul with the Word of God. We have to consume the Word until it becomes part of us that then overflows from our hearts. We read the word, we speak the word, we pray the word, we sing the word, we declare it....by doing this we will be move from a place of meditation to the place of worship and other way around and all of this made possible by simply being centered around the Word of God and God's heart and personality!!!

The Passion & Compassion of God the Son

Passion:     Jesus lived for the pleasure of the Father. He lived to please the Father in everything He did. He said that He came to do the will of the one who sent Him and out of love for the Father, Jesus does what the Father has commanded Him. Delighting in the embrace of the Father was all that He longed for. The Bible tells us that early in the morning and late at night He would be alone with the Father. The heart of Jesus was passionately in-loved with the Father and He was abiding in the Father's love. Jesus revealed His passion for the Father at age 12 saying that He had to be in His father's house Luke 2:49.      In John 17 Jesus reveals his passion when He prays for the disciples: Father I desire for them to be with me and see my glory...that you have given me because you loved me.... The passion of Jesus is the glory of God the Father, His presence, being with Him, beholding Him face to face....this was the ultimate passion of Jesus! ...

Merry Christmas 2016

The Visit of the Wise Men Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to  worship him.” When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him; and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where  the Christ was to be born. They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet: “ ‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will  shepherd my people Israel.’ ” Then Herod summoned the wise men secretly and ascertained from them what time the star had appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you have found him, bring me word, tha...
