Two Years House of Prayer - Macedonia

It has been two years since we started the House of Prayer ministry in Macedonia and almost two years I've been living in Skopje.  Is funny to think that one simple sentence kind of started the whole ministry. After I returned from IMI internship in Amsterdam I had a meeting with few leaders from Skopje who wanted to start a House of Prayer and they asked me how to start one. I was a wrong person to be asked that question but in that moment I just said: you just start, no matter where, no matter how many people there is, no matter what you have or don't have, you just start small, just one meeting in the week, just two hours, just worshipping God and waiting on Him.  Oops :) these leaders took me very seriously and the very next week we had our first Friday night time of worship and prayer, waiting on God.  At that time I still had other plans, to go and serve God in Montenegro working with the local church there but one morning I woke up with a thought on my mind; why no...

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!

It is that time of the season when we all are excited, running around, one more year is coming to an end, another year filled with moments of joy and sadness, moments of laughter and tears, moments of expectation and frustration and so on....          But it is that time of the season when we all realize that the greatest blessing and joy in love is simple found in being with our family members and those who are dear and close to our heart.  As we are about to celebrate Christmas, the Birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we are being reminded that He came to be with His family, with those He created and He loved. He couldn't bear the distance, He came down and took a flesh, He became one of us! The gospel of Matthew says that wise men came and brought gifts, gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. And each one of this 3 gifts was a prophetic sign of who this child is. The gift of gold speaks about royal authority that this ...

Life & Ministry in Skopje

It has been little bit over one month since we moved into our apartment and ended our long journey of sleeping at other people places. We have really cozy place and we feel at home living in it. Maybe the apartment is next to one of the busiest streets and yes we do live high from the ground 13th floor officially or 15th including the first two office area floors. There is just one more floor above us but it has it's own benefits also. The apartment itself gets tons of sunlight from morning till sunset which we love and enjoy at the moment because it makes the place warm even without heating. We enjoy the view no matter if is early in the morning, during the day or in the evenings. It is fun to see the city in all the different lights and seasons.        Few days ago it was very cloudy and it was amazing to see the movements around the mountain overlooking Skopje. Mirjami didn't stop saying all day long; God is using His smoke machine :...

Home!!!

This was a life time experience for us because in the first 30 days of our married life we slept in 14 different places, 14 different beds. With no doubt we should be in the Guinness book of records but we don’t recommend to any newly weds to try and break our record. On moments it was lots of fun but also hard, we went up and down, being happy and sad, smiling and crying, being thankful to being desperate...But in the mid’s of all of that God was teaching us that only secure resting place can be found in Him and Him only, teaching us how to be thankful with what we have, teaching us to rejoice and give Him glory no matter what.        Thought #1: It reminded me of the words of Jesus in Matthew 8:20 "Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."       That is still so true today. Jesus is still looking for a place where to lay His head, place where He can find rest, place tha...

One Month Married Life!!!

Few days ago with Mirjami we celebrated our one month anniversary. It has been amazing and busy month and in this email we would like to share with you what has been happening and what is ahead of us.        So one month ago we were preoccupied with final preparation for our wedding day. After doing everything that we could with big and small details we decided to enjoy our day and not allow small things to bug us. We ended up having a beautiful wedding. Beautiful, bright sunny day, friends and family, amazing church ceremony, simple and fun wedding reception and celebration. Here is a link to some of our wedding pictures: https://plus.google.com/photos/114487937019921210990/albums/5911694665552023649?authkey=CIqNpYztnpSPxwE        Unfortunately we didn’t had a chance to go on a honeymoon but instead our last week in Kemi, Finland was filled with final goodbyes, organizing Macedonian night on which we shar...

The Final Countdown

Exactly 228 day’s ago Mirjami said YES on finally pursuing love relationship with me...Exactly 158 day’s ago Mirjami said YES on my proposal to be my wife... Today Wednesday with Mirjami we are 48 hours away from our official registration before the law here in Kemi, Finland and 72 hours away from our church ceremony and celebration...My family is here, friends have arrived to help out with final preparations and we will try to make most out of this time while not forgetting to enjoy the simple, beautiful moments in life.        I can’t help but reflect on the life itself; the moment I got saved and God’s amazing ways with my family. Working along side my sister for 13 years, leading a small church in our hometown, leading a Youth Centre together with the rest of the guys from the New Generation team and serving and loving the youth from my hometown. Then the moment when God said; It’s time, I’m taking you for a ride on a journey t...

Month Two in Lapland

Yes, even after almost 2 months being in Lapland, Finnish sky doesn't stop to impress me!!!        It feels like this month just went way too fast :) but no complains that means that our wedding day is coming soon...        The month started by us being invited to lead worship at Life Factory, the youth ministry of Kemi Pentecostal church. You think that by now I would have learn that there is always something more expected from us than what I am being told :) Together with Mirjami we were asked to share something more about us, our walk with God and our future plans. It was great to just sit in a nice, cozy place, relax atmosphere and share with the youth about Jesus' worth, beauty, passion and love for us...after 45min of sharing we continued the night with worship that turned out into a time of prayer and ministry. It was one of those moments where you don't plan to do anything, but the Spirit comes and takes over and you ju...
